What's better than braids for a festival? *Colorful braids.*

Start by creating a middle part and sectioning off most of the hair on either side of the part, leaving a small section hanging loose. Now, add color! The L'Oreal Paris Hair Color Colorista Hair Makeup works like a creamy makeup product for your hair. It washes out with shampoo (so there are no gloves, bleach, or dyes required) and it has an insane color payoff on even the darkest shades of hair.

Step 1: Work a little bit through the length of your first bottom section and either let it air dry or blast it quickly with a blow dryer—totally depends on how much time you have to style. Here, we started with Purple.

Step 2: Once it's set, give it a quick comb through before taking down another section and adding a second color—we used Raspberry.

Step 3: Then, take down a larger section, leaving only a small amount clipped up on that side, and add a third color to just about an inch of hair within that section. We used Blue.

Step 4: Now, you're ready to roll. Create a cornrow braid out of that section before starting on side two. To give it a little something extra, you can add streaks of color at the top of your head from the part outwards. We used that same Purple and Raspberry from the bottom layers. Do it while you're braiding or after you're done—either works!

Your hair is officially off your neck and away from your face—re: ready for dancing all day.
