• Demi Lovato opened up about telling her parents that they are bisexual back in 2017.
  • They also talked about the future and possibly having kids soon.

Demi Lovato just got real about the time they revealed to her parents that they are interested in women.

While Demi has become the ultimate bi icon over the past couple of years, they just revealed to Andy Cohen on his radio show, Radio Andy, that they only ended up telling them about their sexuality when things were getting serious between them and a girl.

"I’m still figuring [my sexuality] out," Demi said. "I didn’t officially tell my parents that I saw myself ending up possibly with a woman until 2017. It was actually emotional, but really beautiful. After everything was done, I was like shaking and crying. I just felt overwhelmed. I have such incredible parents. They were so supportive."

They ended up saying that while the experience was great, one parent was actually not surprised by the news.

"My dad was like, 'Yeah, obviously,'" they said. "He said like, "Hello, 'Cool for the Summer'." But my mom was the one that I was super nervous about," they revealed. "But she was like, 'I just want you to be happy.' And that was so beautiful and amazing. I’m so grateful."

Demi also opened up about her future and possibly having kids soon, revealing that they're totally down to having kids even without a partner.

"I don't know what my future looks like. I don't know if I'm gonna have kids this year or in 10 years. I don't know if I'm gonna do it with a partner or without. 'Cause, women...don't need partners to...you know? Amen!"

It's been a big week for Demi as they made their big comeback at the 2020 Grammy Awards with a special performance. They are set to perform the National Anthem this weekend at Super Bowl LIV.
